The flexo industry continues to go from strength to strength in every sector. Purchases of new equipment in the three major areas of corrugated, flexible packaging and wide web paper persist at a record pace. This growth emphasizes the buoyancy in the market, as well as the need for faster and more efficient equipment. Pamarco’s aim is to stay in stride with these rapidly changing markets. To that end, with the support of our ownership, we have ordered two new lasers for delivery in 2018. Both are state of the art machines, a 3.5M for La Palma, California, and a 5.5M for our Warrington factory in the UK. These purchases, coupled with our investment this year in new plasma spray and support equipment in each facility, give us the capability and capacity to service the expanding markets. Our investment in people is ongoing within all of our business units, from additional sales personnel to trained machinists and operators for the sophisticated equipment that we run and maintain. Key partnerships will also continue to play a large role in our expansion. We will build on our established relationship with Inometa to manufacture and supply essential carbon fiber components such as anilox cores and bridge mandrels for many of the new press installations. Another key relationship to watch is the steady liaison we have with our sister company Absolute, who’s products enable convertors to maintain the high level of color consistency required in today’s markets. 2017 has offered Pamarco and the industries we serve with many opportunities for advancement. Knowing that this progress in technology and processes will continue into the future, we look forward to what 2018 will bring.
