Find the Right Doctor-blade
The Esterlam P Series doctor blade range has been setting the standard for Flexo converters and OEM’s worldwide for many years. Utilizing the latest developments in polymer technology, the P series blades offer benefits including extended blade life, less roller wear and damage, as well as making them much safer for operators to use. Utilizing the latest developments in polymer technology, the P series blades offer you benefits including extended blade life, less roller wear and damage, as well as making them much safer for operators to use. Designed to give consistent blade pressure and a uniform ink film across the entire anilox, Esterlam P-series doctor blades allow you to precisely match customer colour requirements within seconds of start-up, thereby fulfilling customer requirements and satisfaction. Improvements in blade life also mean fewer blade changes, less press downtime-improving your press productivity.
Using High grade materials that incorporate special lubricants suitable for both ceramic and chrome rollers, the Esterlam P-series blades deliver significant reductions in roller wear and scoring, thereby protecting expensive inventories of rollers, extending significant cost savings in anilox replacement and repair. P series instant start-up significantly reduces material wastage improving margins and profitability on all jobs. You can also have complete confidence in handling P-Series blades. As with all of our Esterlam blade materials, safety is paramount and means that blade installation is quicker and safer extending faster turn around and further improvements in productivity.
The E Series polyester doctor blades continue to set new and improved performance standards in today’s flexo and gravure industries. Our unique high quality blades utilize the latest developments in polymer technology extending consistency with significant reduction in roller wear and scoring. Our unique high quality blades utilize the latest developments in polymer technology extending consistency with significant reduction in roller wear and scoring. Our polyester is a bi-axially oriented material. The process of stretching the material in the two directions aligns the molecules in the polymer creating a much stronger structure with far higher chemical and temperature characteristics allowing the blade to remain even more stable all the way through the temp curve offering a much higher working/service temperature. The same characteristics also apply with chemical resistance and to hot water which sometimes causes softening and buckling with various extruded polymers. Bi-axially oriented Polyester extends the best overall results in stability and longevity. Another important benefit of the E Series is ‘spring’ memory. Polyester is highly crystalized. During the manufacturing process the material is taken to very high temperatures, stretched with enormous energy, and then rapidly cooled. This together with the unique laminate structure gives the E- Series excellent ‘spring memory’, (Steel blades are all made from ‘spring’ steel) This spring memory provides more consistent pressure on the anilox roll over a longer period of time and subsequently more consistent ink values.
